We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of the page. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms and Conditions on the Site, and you waive the right to receive specific notice of each such change or modification.

Each tutor is a volunteer and is independent of the Do Re Mi Project. We are not responsible or liable for any interactions between the tutor and the student. Parents of the tutor and parents of the student are responsible for monitoring the interactions between tutor and student.

You must be 14-18 years old to tutor, and you must get parental consent to tutor. By signing up, you guarantee that you are of age and that the information you provide us through the sign up form is valid and truthful.
Students must be enrolled in elementary or middle school. By signing up for a student, you (the parent) guarantee that they are enrolled in elementary school or middle school, and that the information you have entered into the form is valid and truthful.
You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your name.
You must not abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate other users.
The Do Re Mi Project reserves the right to remove tutors from the website with or without reason.
The Do Re Mi Project has the right but not the obligation to monitor and edit all Content provided by users.

Tutoring Session Policy
Requested session lengths can be for a maximum of half an hour long, although final length is subject to the discretion of the tutor.
No more than one tutoring session can be requested per week, although this is subject to the discretion of the tutor.
For piano, students are limited to one tutor.
We suggest that you book lessons at least 2 days in advance to ensure the tutor is prepared.
If more than one student requests a session time, the time goes to the student who requested first.
All sessions are subject to tutor availability. The Do Re Mi Project is not responsible for any cancellations that occur.

We collect data from you when you sign up and voluntarily fill out the form to become a tutor:

- Names of video chat apps you’d like to use
- Your personal email
- The email you used to make your Weebly account
- Your IP address
- Your address (only if you have provided it to us. We do not require tutor addresses.)
- On your public tutor page: Your first and last name, age, instrument, years of experience, accomplishments, your picture, and video apps you’d like to use
- In our Google Contacts/Sheets records: first and last name, instrument, picture, graduation year, state, email
- Weebly Site Form Manager (visible by all tutors)
- Everything you provided when you signed up to tutor.
- We publicly display your name, age, instrument, picture, years of experience, accomplishments, and preferred video apps on your website page for students to learn about you.
- We use your email to forward lesson requests to you, send you announcements, or contact you directly regarding Do Re Mi.
- We use your state to understand our geographical reach.
- We use the email you used to make your Weebly account to grant you access to edit our site.
- We use your graduation year, high school name, and picture of student ID to verify that you are a high school student.
- If you provided your address to us, we use it to send you Do Re Mi related mail.
- Weebly automatically collects the date you submitted the form and your IP address. The Do Re Mi Project does not actively use this data. Weebly uses your IP address, according to their community forum, to:
- Diagnose and prevent service or technology problems reported by [Weebly's] users or engineers that are associated with the IP addresses controlled by a specific web company or ISP.
- Estimate the total number of users from specific geographical regions using the [Weebly]
- Help determine which users have access privileges to certain content, services, or resources that [Weebly] offers.
- Monitor and prevent fraud and abuse.
- We do not sell any of your data.
Privacy for Students
Data Collected:
We collect data from you when you voluntarily fill out the form to book a session with a tutor. This includes:

- Parent name
- Student name
- Parent email
- Cell phone number, if you provided us with it. It is not required.
- Student grade
- State
- Student instrument, if the tutor you’re booking with teaches multiple instruments.
- Requested session date
- Requested session time
- Your IP address
- How you heard about the Do Re Mi Project, if you provided us with it. It is not required.
- Tutor’s Email Inbox: everything you provided us with when you booked a session.
- Weebly Site Form Manager (visible by all tutors):
- Everything you provided us with when you booked a session.

- Do Re Mi’s Google Sheets: student name, state, email, grade
- Tutors use the parent and student names and the student age to be able to address parents and students by their names and to get an idea of the skill level students are at.
- Tutors email the parent email to confirm the session date and coordinate other details, such as what app both parties will use.
- Tutors use the cell phone number (if provided) in case tutors do not get an email reply back from a parent in a timely manner.
- Tutors use the session lesson date and time to know what time the session will be at and block off the time on their calendar.
- We use your state and "how you heard about Do Re Mi" to understand our geographical reach and to improve our advertising.
- Weebly automatically collects your IP address when you fill out a form. The Do Re Mi Project does not actively use this data; however, we cannot be held liable for what a tutor does with this data. Weebly uses your IP address, according to their community forum, to:
- Diagnose and prevent service or technology problems reported by [Weebly's] users or engineers that are associated with the IP addresses controlled by a specific web company or ISP.
