Summer Virtual RecitalJuly 13th, 2024
During our summer virtual recital, we heard tutors and students showcase pieces from The Beatles "Here Comes the Sun" on the guitar to Joe Hisaishi's "Carrying You" through a viola and cello duet. Celebrating Ms. Monteith from Grassroots!June 17, 2024
Daniel Cho, Community Outreach Coordinator in Maryland, organized a concert at the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, where Ms. Monteith, the coordinator, retired in July. Him and a fellow performer and DRM tutor, Conan Chung, surprised her on her last day by visiting and playing "My Way" to celebrate. |

Maryland Community Outreach Coordinator Daniel Cho organized a performance at Lorien Harmony Hall, Columbia, MD. There were 10 performers who played for the senior citizens, including some of Daniel's DRM students as well as DRM students from all over Maryland! |
Sullivan County, NY Outreach ConcertMay 26, 2024
Rei Fukuoka, the Community Outreach Coordinator in New York City, organized an outreach concert in upstate New York for senior members in Sullivan County. The seniors themselves also participated in these performances, playing their own instruments as well. |

This outreach concert marks the final community outreach concert to 2023! Lucia Noto organized her second concert at Sunrise of McLean. There were six performers, including violinists, a flautist, and a singer. |

Maryland's Winter Concert Series: Part 4December 27th, 2023
This is the final concert in Maryland's winter concert series. Daniel Cho and Maryland community outreach performers went to the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center. Unlike the many senior homes they have performed at, Grassroots offers emergency shelter services for those experiencing homelessness and free walk-in counseling. The Maryland group performed for the families staying there temporarily. Watch their performance here! |

New York Thanksgiving ConcertNovember 25th, 2023
New York's Community Outreach Coordinator John Wang organized his first concert over Thanksgiving break! Nine musicians performed at the Massry Residence at Daughters of Sarah in Albany, New York. Pieces included the Devienne Nineteen Duets and a string and clarinet quartet rendition of Can't Help Falling in Love. |

November Maryland OutreachNovember 20th, 2023
Howard County students had a 3-hour early dismissal from school on Monday. Daniel Cho, along with other Do Re Mi students, spent their afternoon performing at two different nursing homes: Sunrise of Columbia and Lorien Harmony Hall. Their repertoire included pieces from the Sound of Music, Vivaldi's Winter from the Four Seasons, and Tchaikovsky's March from the Nutcracker. Violin Masterclass and Q&ANovember 18th, 2023 @2 PM ET via Zoom
Do Re Mi hosted a violin masterclass featuring Erin Keefe, Concertmaster of the Grammy award-winning Minnesota Orchestra! Ms. Keefe is a graduate of the Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music, and now teaches at Curtis as well. Ms. Keefe worked with tutors on Bach and Wieniawski, from phrasing to bow weight. She ended the masterclass with tips on practice motivation and piece memorization! |

Do Re Mi saxophone tutor Sean Whelan organized two different outreach concerts in his Andover community—one for the Andover Senior Center and one for his school's National Honor Society induction ceremony.
